George W. Bush, Faith In the White House
This is good news? I wonder what they think Bush is in the Muslim world. Maybe an American version of a grand mullah? (Can you say MOOO-LA?) How about a "Radical Cleric"?

Public proclamations in faith have always been suspect, and rightly so.
Lincoln's words are profoundly spiritual and he surely has an idea of God watching and judging, the faith of Lincoln project real humility: the faith of Bush projects certainty, and that's not good: democracy depends on uncertainty, the chance that we will, with new information, re-examine our actions, and make adjustments.
