What if the Dems had said that. That the world is NOT safer from Bush's actions, that our country is in debt, it is weaker, and it is rather alone, and therefore, one could reason that IF Bush is reelected and he continues his policies, it is certainly likely that we will be attacked again, In fact, Bush's actions so far make that more likely no matter who is elected.
His comment is technically accurate. And notice the frame he is creating by his statement - simply remove the "i did not say" and there you have it.
