I guess I don;t get the big deal. Kerry supported putting pressure on Iraq and Sadam. Most everyone in Washington thought Iraq had WMDs (remember, we have the receipts) But Kerry was not in a position of weighing the intelligence and deciding on war. It was the Bush administration that consistently bent and ignored information that conflicted with their goal of war with Iraq. We do not know what a Kerry administration would have done with the same information. But we do know that information that was not useful for instigating a war was downplayed by Bush et al. All I see here is another smear campaign... In fact this sort of campaign was predicted on this very board. The question is, who will fall for it? The answer is, quite a few it’s sad to say.

I think that was a killer ad: it uses Kerry's words to show his support for the war, time after time after time. And it shows is switch is a last minute switch at the Iowa Caucus: really nasty, and it took out Dean. No, it does NOT say what a Kerry admin would have done, but is sure is an ugly picture. BTW, lost in all this: Kerry pledged, on the floor of the senate, that IF the war was wrongly engaged, he would be THE FIRST to stand up in the Senate: Kerry did no such thing. In fact, he has let the statement that he would (knowing what we all know now) he would have invaded Iraq. So far, the vote seems anti-Bush, which is easy, but pro-Kerry? I dunno.

It's actually VERY effective propaganda. I'd like to see what the reaction to this will be...
