Complements of the Bush Administration

"'We have a police state far beyond anything George Orwell imagined in his book 1984,' says privacy expert Susan Morrissey. 'The everyday lives of virtually every American are under scrutiny 24-hours-a-day by the government.'”

Thank goodness those Democrats aren't in power, you know how they hate freedom and love government...

Is the story true? Who knows anymore...

Just my opinion, but the articles at this CapitolHillBlue website seem to be of very low quality. They claim that it is a well known fact that George Tenet was fired, and that he did not resign. In fact, they claim to know the exact words G.W. used when he sacked Tenet. You keep hinting that you also think this way about this information "this stuff may not be true - who knows". So why bother reading this trash?

I think that "truth" is found in reading many sources. That a source has a VERY different view point does not mean it is made up. All news is an interpretation, this site gives very different interpretations. One thing I like about this site is that it was bashing Clinton during his administration.

Also, I think everyone KNOWS that Tenent was fired.

A resignation from a high staff position is just part of the staff job. It is NOT a resignation: a staff person NEVER does anything personal: all work is for the executive: Tenent? of course. Rumsfeld? Rice? Powell? Tenent was the George Bush of the CIA: low achiever.
As to our rights: we don't exercise them. We don't march, demonstrate, speak. We can't: we work, have kids, payments, parents, and stuff. We don't even know our rights, and moreover, neither do the people who enforce the law: you may be totally right and you are going to jail. While law enforcement may do no more than that, they can hope and expect that some accident could happen while in the system. It will be done by, well, some bad apples... you will be comforted that that kind of abuse is NOT official policy, and it's only a relatively few bad apples.
You wanna exercise rights? build a bonfire, have a weiny roast. Screw with their minds and fly a flag.

"How shall we expect the danger" asked Lincoln. "It must come from within", he said.
And it never looks the way you expected it to look. It looks like you.

You don't know Tenet was fired. Speculation isn't data. "Garbage in - Garbage out". What could be gained by considering that the moon landings and the holocaust might possibly have never occurred? The internet provides access to any viewpoint one may wish to consider. While considering these viewpoints one must learn to distinguish between reasonable representations of fact, and what the CapitolBlue site aspires to be: a bunch of ranting, full of fiction, disguised as news.

Says you. You have no proof for your statement.

If a bunch of people work in an environemnt, I go to them to get a glimps of the truth. Someone who lives 60 years and 1000 miles away from said environemnt likely has little to tell me. Open you mind, despite the uglyness of the words, though there may well be "little truth" in what they say, there is none-the-less some information there.

And you cannot believe that Tenent went of his own accord, come on...
