Conservancy as paradigm.
Google is about to go public.
That is something akin to farmland or orchards being developed. Mountains being leveled for coal. Old estabished businesses and movie houses being replaced by franchises and malls.
The notion of a conservancy, the metaphor, is that the space, the thing, that value in certain uses, is taken up by the public, paid for, and retired from the market.
I wish I could pay google, make all the guys rich, and have it run as a conservancy, with certain aspects of it forever taken off the market. That dog won't hunt, and that engine won't search.
When google goes public, there will be no more google bombs...
