I never thought I'd see the day

But today is it. President Bush actually had the buck stop with him. It's as if he were replaced by a real leader. Who knows the possibilities of such a revelation. Maybe we can start to get leadership out of Bush? I doubt it, but one can always hope.

Oh my god no. Is that all it takes to raise hopes: "I take responsibility". Yeah, so what.
9/11, on his watch, Iraq: lies and a war he chose, and New Orleans... plus energy prices, medicine, US financial considerations, church and state...
just what do you think is going to change? New environmental policy? Roll back the tax cuts?
"This way to the egress."

"nobody could have expected a break in the levee"... Bush surely tested avoiding responsibility, but "took" it... (Rove)... Now they will proceed to take advantage as the did at 9/11. Which is totally sensible, which is totally what he is there for: to advance his agenda. Because his agenda is right. If it wasn't right, he'd choose a different one.
Bush is a remarkable constant, and everything that is "effective" about him goes to that: he'll do 8 years of his agenda, absolutely rock solid bet on it. Besides, everything is working!
