Remember, he is popular among PEOPLE, ie, human beings. Of course, there is the question of the poll.
I found it very interesting, reading a book: The Savvy Patient, and referencing the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle suggested that a corollary would be that one could NOT ask a completely neutral question.
How to get out of this dilemma: stop answering polls. Ah, but then we're right back to the people thing again: we're asking PEOPLE to think. Not gonna happen.
Oh, another interesting thing in this book (a book for medical patients, no less): you believe what you remember. And, you tend to remember the most bodacious things. Now add a stream of babble coming at you, and voila! A popular president. But remember, they, we, all of us share that common flaw: we are people.
Oh, BTW, remember Simon Bolivar? George Bush is going to get that post in Iraq.
